& Juliet is a new musical making its West End premiere at the Shaftesbury Theatre featuring the songs of pop hit machine Max Martin, who has written songs for the likes of Britney Spears, Celine Dion, Backstreet Boys, Kelly Clarkson, Pink, Katy Perry, Ariana Grande and many more. & Juliet tickets are on sale now.
Directed by Luke Shepherd, the musical stars Miriam Teak-Lee in the title role. Teak-Lee is best known for her roles in the musicals On The Town at Regent’s Park Open Air Theatre, and she was part of the original ensemble of Hamilton at London’s Victoria Palace Theatre.
The story of & Juliet picks up from the iconic moment at the end of William Shakespeare’s legendary love tale, Romeo and Juliet. Rather than her persevering with the final, fatal act of the play, Juliet decides to down her dagger and begin the search for a better life. Along with Nurse, she takes to Paris with a group of friends and takes control of her story.

& Juliet stars Miriam Teak-Lee as Juliet. Teak-Lee has often been cited as an exciting up-and-comer in British musical theatre, highlighted when she made her professional stage debut in On The Town at Regent’s Park Open Air Theatre, winning The Stage Debut Award for best actress in a musical. In 2017, Teak-Lee was cast in the West End production of Hamilton. She was a part of the ensemble, and also provided cover for each of the Schuyler sister roles of Angelica, Eliza and Peggy at the Victoria Palace Theatre.
Bringing the Bard to the 21st century, Oliver Tompsett stars as William Shakespeare, adding to his glittering West End CV which includes Kinky Boots, Guys and Dolls and We Will Rock You. He’s joined by his on-stage wife Cassidy Janson as Anne Hathaway, who performs in her second West End show this year, previously appearing in Man of La Mancha at the London Coliseum. David Bedella, who loves this Shakespeare-infused musical, plays Lance, while Melanie La Barrie plays the Nurse.
