REVIEW: Julius Caesar, Noel Coward Theatre (2012)

In a wonderful production for the Royal Shakespeare Company, its new Artistic Director Gregory Doran sets Julius Caesar in Africa using an all black cast of Britain's finest actors. Somehow the rhythm of Shakespearean verse and the clarity of the African pronunciation, along with the political theme of power politics and regime change, work well in the new setting.

REVIEW: Matilda the Musical, Cambridge Theatre (2011)
celebrates 10 years on 12th November 2021

We had heard from its showing in Stratford Upon Avon last year that Matilda the Musical was rather special but I didn’t expect to be so blown away by this delightful production about the precocious little girl who loves books and is born into a family of book hating telly addicts.
